The extension cord (120 volt) is 3-prong (grounded) extension cord. A modification (like cutting off the ground) is dangerous. There is no extension cord made that is grounded (3-plug) for a 2-plug outlet. Adapters are sold but my experience is this leaves your device(s) vulnerable and risky.
