Can I drill into AirStone?

Super easy and you can drill through it to hang (as you can see). This portion cost about $150 including a hacksaw and an extra container of adhesive which I supposedly shouldn’t have needed but did. Love the results! This is an Airstone backsplash!

Can you drill into faux stone?





A regular high-speed steel bit will probably cut through the soft faux stone just fine, though it’ll dull the bit fairly rapidly. If you have just a few holes to drill I’d go that route. Otherwise, a masonry bit will also work until you reach the wood.

When using AirStone as a backsplash, or an outdoor kitchen, we do recommend applying a sealer. Like natural stone, it will absorb grease and food splatters without protection. Use a high-quality brand for concrete, masonry, or porous stone.

Most air stones will need pre-soaking before they work effectively, leave them in a container of water for approximately 10 minutes before using them in the tank so that they will produce bubbles straight away.
