Can you Mattify paint?
You cannot cover glossy paint with flat or matte paint, but you can cut down the gloss of a high-sheen finish. Do this with a liquid deglosser to cut the gloss of the finish followed by a clear matte varnish or topcoat to refine and preserve it.
How can I make my walls less glossy?
Rub glossy paint on dry wall with hand sanitizer (Walmart Equate brand) on a paper towel. It will remove the gloss, super fast, super simple. No sanding, no matte clear coat.

Can I change the sheen of paint?
To make a gloss paint out of a flat one, pour an amount of glazing compound or varnish equal to about 10 percent of the volume of flat paint you have into a large container, add the paint and stir. Test the result and add more binder if the sheen isn’t glossy enough.
