Why does my Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker make a knocking sound?
If there is a sway from front to back or from side to side, the feet are not level. Consequently, when the fridge cycles, it will rock, causing a knocking noise. Look under the Frigidaire and even the feet with a pair of pliers by turning them up or down until it sits firmly on on four feet.
How do I fix my knocking noise in my refrigerator?
If the fan is damaged, try to remove what is obstructing it, and if that isn’t possible, it will need to be replaced. If you replace the fan, you will need to check if the knocking sound has stopped once it is installed and the fridge is turned back on. If not, check the compressor.

Why does my refrigerator sound like a jackhammer?
If you’ve traced the jackhammer noise to the plastic water pipes behind the fridge, then those pipes may have gotten loose. Why does my freezer sound like a jackhammer?
It comes from the water moving through the pipes suddenly stopping and shaking the pipes. To prevent this near most faucets they put in an air chamber or a water hammer arrestor. You don’t see these too common at or near the valve for ice makers.
