Does it matter which side KERDI-BOARD?

No, the KERDI membrane does not have a front/back to it. One side of the membrane features printed gridlines for assistance with cutting. The membrane may be installed grid side out for convenience in tile setting as well.

Can you Redgard over Kerdi? No, it won’t interfere with the performance or adversely effect it. RedGuard is not harder to adhere to. There is no reason to use both products although it can be easier to use the RedGuard in corners and niches without the build up you can get with kerdi.

Can Kerdi be installed over plywood?

Do I need to prime drywall before KERDI?

I ran out of Kerdi-Fix and had to get another tube quick and couldn’t wait the 2-3 days shipping. After a lot of research I discovered my local big box hardware store sold Sikaflex, a polyurethane sealant which bonded KERDI just as tight and tough as Kerdi-Fix if not better.
