How do you remove wire end caps?

In most cases, connectors either hold the wire in with a small metal prong or they are crushed onto the wire. With a gentle tug, the wire usually pulls out of the connector. Place a pair of wire cutters next to the connector and cut the wire to remove it from the connector.

A small sharp chisel and hammering can split the ferrule down one side, and open the tube enough to release the wires. After being split and opened up like that, you can squeeze it roughly closed over a new wire then solder it in place.

Can I undo a crimp?

If so then just open up the flap that covers the metal piece and pry open one of the sides and it will come apart. If you are talking about the ones where they actually strip the wires and use a crimping tool then you could just take some pliers to uncrimp it or just cut it and strip the wires.

You can use a small flat head screw driver, just carefully pry from the tip farthest from the wire, pulling away from the flat blade it’s connected to and you should be good.
