Can I use an interior door handle on an exterior door?

Can these internal handles be used on a front door or exterior door? You can use them on an exterior door, and many people do, but the longevity of the handle with respect to resistance to weathering is not as strong as needed.

Are interior and exterior door handles the same?





Exterior door knobs have a much bigger job to do than interior ones. They’re the main barrier in most homes between the house and anyone who hasn’t been welcomed into it. An exterior door knob needs to be strong, reliable, and have a lock that works well. There are two main options within this category.

Can passage door knobs be used outdoors?

Should interior and exterior door handles match?

Even though their design may remain the same, you can settle on two separate colors for the inside and outside of the room. Thus, while approaching a room from the outer side, the door hardware will match the rest. Once the door is closed behind, its interior color will conform with the overall style of the room.
